Say hello to Pasmo

At 5:00 AM, we decided to try the Tokyo subway. First of all, deciphering the letters here are impossible. The alphabet, or whatever it is here, looks like hieroglyphics. Figuring out the language in the time we have just isn't going to happen. Luckily, there is quite a bit of English here. We should be fine.

Determining how to pay for the subway can be complicated. You have to know where you are and where you are going. After that you can buy a ticket. This is not as easy as it sounds. There are transfer stations, multiple metro lines, and train lines.

What does Pasmo mean? We have no idea. What does Pasmo do? Pasmo makes traveling on the subway in Tokyo a dream. You just walk up to a machine put the card on it and pass through. At your destination, you do the same thing. Pasmo calculates and deducts the proper amount from your account. When the account is low, Pasmo lets you know. Just add more Yen.
We are giving our Pasmo cards a workout in Tokyo.
