A great flight!

Wow! Delta really got it right on this flight. All three of us agree, this was one of the best flights ever. At the start of the flight, one of the pilots came out and let Connor see the cockpit. Connor even got to wear the pilot's hat. We had extra leg room, the chairs were fully configurable, and we were served three meals during the flight. 14 hours is a long time. However, we still had a great time and enjoyed the flight. The flight path was interesting. We actually got to fly over Alaska.

Now the real fun begins ...

We made it to Atlanta. The flight was a little over one hour. That was easy. Our next flight is scheduled at 14 hours and 10 minutes. You have got to be kidding. I did not know an airplane could stay up in the air that long. It you read the sign in the picture, you know our first stop.

Eary Start

We started the day early. The alarm went of at 5:00 AM. We were at the airport by 6:00 AM. Connor is at the start of another grand adventure. Yes, we are flying Delta. This means the adventure finds its way through Atlanta.

What have we done?

We didn't realize we needed vaccinations for this trip until the last minute. (Actually, it was my fault.) After a few phone calls, the Dr.'s office agreed to take care of us. Connor (also Michael and Mary) are recommended to get vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B for where we are going. Hopefully the shot kicks in when you only have 5 days before you leave.

Connor did say this was the first shot that he can remember. This trip should be worth getting a few shots.

Where in the world is Connor T?

Where in the world is Connor T?
The journey begins tomorrow, Saturday. Where will he go? What will he see? You will have to come back often to know.
Regardless of the outcome, this is about to be a grand adventure.

Commentary: Cruise Ships

We have resisted cruising for quite a while because we were afraid of the weight gain horror stories. On this trip, it was not an issue. We kept active and busy the entire time. We ate healthy at meals and did not have a problem. If you wanted to eat bad and gain weight, you could. We just chose not to.
The cruise ship was a great option if you wanted to see a wide variety of locations with a limited amount of time. In the week we were in Hawaii, we went to 4 different islands. We would not have been able to do that any other way. The ship sailed at night and we played at new ports during the day. It was a great time.
We do recommend getting a room with a balcony. Being able to look outside your room or even sit on the balcony was a wonderful experience.
I have a feeling we will be taking another cruise again.

What is the significance of 12062?

12062 is the total miles traveled not including walking on this trip. To help put this in context, the circumference of the earth at the equator is 24902 miles.
