Connor decided he wanted to go to the early opening of Best Buy. We woke up at 4:00 AM and were at Best Buy by 4:30 a full 30 minutes before opening. We got to the store and noticed the line started at the front of the building and wrapped around the corner. No problem, we will just follow the line to the end. We followed the line the entire length of a city block to another corner. We rounded that corner and kept following the line until almost the end of another entire city block. People kept coming. By 5:00 AM, the line had wrapped halfway around the last edge of the city block. If the store would have waited another 30 minutes to open, the line may have wrapped around to the front of the building again. Wow! This was a lot of people.
At 5:00 AM, the line started moving. We got fairly close to the front and the line stopped. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I went to the front and discovered what happened. Best Buy had created two lines. If you were buying a computer or TV, you were given preferred entry. Everyone else had to wait longer. At this point, Connor and I caught a taxi back to the hotel and went to sleep.
Later in the day, we went back to Best Buy and were able to find and purchase the two door buster items we wanted.
