If you are going to shop in New York City, you do it on 5th Avenue. We visited Nike Town, the Apple Store, FAO Schwartz, Best Buy, and quite a few other places in between. At the end of the day we walked Saks 5th Avenue. Saks has 10 floors of merchandise. Wow! We thought it would be a quick visit. It took quite a while to go through the entire store.
